English Lake Filter Basin NES coordinated with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources and County government to obtain a conservation easement on an 8-acre parcel of farmland within the English Lake watershed. NES obtained grant funding to design and construct a wetland detention basin in an effort to reduce nutrient loading from an adjacent dairy feedlot. Preliminary results show that the wetland is functioning as planned.
